Dr Lim Lee Guan – Gastroenterologist in Singapore

Dr Lim Lee Guan is a gastroenterologist in Singapore with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He is a Senior Consultant and the Clinical Director at the Specialist Care Group.

Dr Lim obtained his MBBS from National University of Singapore in 2000, and MRCP (UK) in 2004, and underwent advanced specialist training in Gastroenterology at the National University Hospital, Singapore.

Dr Lim was accredited as a specialist in Gastroenterology by the Specialist Accreditation Board in 2008, after which he obtained the Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh) and the Fellowship of Academy of Medicine.

Dr Lim Lee Guan received:

• Ministry of Health’s Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) award for specialised training in advanced endoscopic imaging including endoscopic ultrasound in Germany at Technical University of Munich University Hospital Klinikum rechts der Isar and Universitätsmedizin der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz.
• Scholarship for clinical attachment at Kyushu University Hospital, Japan, which focused on advanced endoscopic imaging for cancer detection and endoscopic management of gastrointestinal pre-cancer and cancer.

CLINICAL EXPERTISE

Dr Lim Lee Guan’s area of special interest is advanced endoscopic imaging in the early detection, diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal cancer and pre-cancer.

Dr Lim is proficient in endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration and biopsy, endoscopic ultrasound guided injection, endoscopic mucosal resection, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ligation of haemorrhoids, examination of small intestine using capsule endoscopy and balloon enteroscopy, and endoscopic variceal ligation, amongst other procedures.
